Toronto’s Most Epic Easter Treasure Hunt Celebrates Five Years With Over $5000 in Cash and Prizes
Two $500 and one $1000 handcrafted Smash Egg are up for grabs!
Treasure hunters, explorers, and real‑world questers, get ready to hit the streets, March 28th!
The city’s most epic Easter treasure hunt, known for its $1000 cash-filled Grand Prize Chocolate Smash Egg, is back and celebrating it’s 5th year! This year’s Grand Hunt drops over $5000 in cash and prizes across Toronto, including a $1000 Grand Prize Smash Egg and a full lineup of handcrafted cash‑filled chocolate eggs guaranteeing a cash reward from $100 to $1000. Two of those high‑value eggs come courtesy of Digital Extremes, creators of the hit video game, Warframe and the highly anticipated, Soulframe, who are powering up the Hunt with two $500 Smash Eggs.
On March 28, 2026 we are hiding 10 mini treasure chests throughout mid- and downtown Toronto. Inside each chest is a unique scroll for a sweet prize that can be redeemed at The Grand Order of Divine Sweets café at 1162 Queen St W. This year, every chest has a prize package that includes a cash prize egg ranging from $100-$1000!
To participate in the hunt, watch our stories on Instagram and Facebook (@thegoodsweetsto) starting at 10am on March 28th.
If you think you recognize a location from one of the clues, head there and see if you can be the first to find the treasure chest. If you find one, bring it to our café at 1162 Queen St W to discover what you’ve won!

Egg-sited to start solving riddles and gathering clues? Visit the café the week before and sweet-talk our staff for a head-start location hint.
Can’t trek across the city but still want in on the fun? Come see us at the cafe! Throughout the day, we will be giving out hundreds of prizes from our Easter Basket of Prizes. It’s also a chance to peruse our fabulous Easter Collection to fill your baskets before Easter. Be sure to stop by — it’s going to be a day to remember!
Our café is fully inclusive with an entry ramp and accessible washroom.
The Grand Hunt 2025 Official Rules
- Must be 18 years of age or older to win a Treasure Chest prize.
- In-store Easter Basket draw is open to all ages. One egg draw per person.
- All Treasure Chests will be placed in accessible outdoor public locations, rain or shine.
- All chests are on public property. No digging, breaking, or disturbing property. Any damage will result in disqualification.
- Bring the Treasure Chest and scroll to The Grand Order of Divine Sweets at 1162 Queen St W before 7pm on March 28th.
- Instagram and Facebook Stories will be updated as chests are found (@thegoodsweetsto).
- First hunter to claim the prize keeps the loot.
- Only one chest per person or hunting group. Let’s spread the fun and not be greedy.
- If some chests remain unfound, we will continue releasing hints until all are discovered.

- Visit the café before March 28th for additional hints.
- Unable to hunt? Visit the café March 28th from 10am–3pm to draw from our Easter basket of prizes.
Terms & Conditions
- Each scroll corresponds to a specific prize and must be redeemed for that prize only.
- The physical scroll must be presented to redeem a prize.
- Scrolls can only be redeemed March 28th between 10am–7pm.
- Unclaimed prizes after 7pm will be donated to a local charity.
- Some locations may require light climbing or public stairs.
- The Grand Order of Divine Sweets is not responsible for accidents or injuries during the hunt.
